Role Overview:

As a Dental Assistant with nGenius Pros, you'll be an essential part of the dental team, working alongside dentists to provide comprehensive oral healthcare to patients. You'll play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, from preparing treatment rooms to assisting with procedures. Your skills and knowledge will be crucial in supporting the dentist and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Chairside Assistance:  Assist dentists with various procedures, such as fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals.
• Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for treatment by positioning them comfortably in the dental chair, providing protective eyewear and bibs, and explaining procedures.
• Infection Control:  Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and treatment areas to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Patient Records:  Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatment notes, and radiographs.
• Patient Education:  Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-operative instructions, and preventive care.
• Inventory Management:  Monitor and maintain dental supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Dental Assisting Program Completion:  Certification from an accredited dental assisting program is required.
• State Requirements:  Meet any additional state-specific requirements for dental assistants (e.g., radiology certification).
• Clinical Skills:  Demonstrated proficiency in four-handed dentistry, infection control, and dental materials.
• Excellent Communication Skills:  Ability to communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other team members.
• Compassion and Empathy:  Genuine care for patients' well-being and ability to make them feel comfortable during treatment.
• Team Player:  Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team and contribute to a positive work environment.
